The Nalmaluien Kape Ramar Mene team successfully facilitate 423 seasonal employees to the North and South Island of New Zealand.  

This will create economic opportunities for remote community areas in Tafea Province. TanKiwi Labour is part of the New Zealand and Government of Vanuatu’s Recognised Seasonal Employment Scheme. TanKiwi Labour’s mission is to present a role model agency that will lead and facilitate communities towards sustainable work participation in New Zealand to assist development and preservation of customs and culture in Tafea to benefit future generations.

Returnee workers will have the opportunity to take part in small enterprise training workshops run by the NGO to develop business plans and utilize their savings for a sustainable family income.

 

 

Nalmaluien Kape Nalmaluien Kape Ramar Mene: Leadership for Community Development is a registered indigenous initiative working as a Non Governmental Organisation based in Tafea Province, Vanuatu. The Ramar Mene Team works in partnership with established NGOs and organisations to mobilize communities towards self help for a fair and just lifestyle, equal in opportunities for quality services in education, health, water and sanitation, communication, gender equity, and preservation of environment and culture. Our objectives are to work alongside the chiefs, tradition and government, develop a range of approaches to assist families, build commitment and community capacity and contribute to new policy and practice.
